The castle was interesting and the town was in itself worth the visit. You can easily spend a half day at the castle and a half day doing other things (like the maritime museum) in this town.Full review by Whitney H

How long should I allow to see the castle? Would two hours be enough, or do I need more?

We were on a tour with other visits around the area and spent less time than that there and I don't think we missed anything.

Hi ! I'm going to Helsingor tomorrow and I've just seen that because we are in November the castle is close on Monday, I can not go there another day so I would like to know if it is possible to see a part of the castle, at least from outside, and have a walk around in closing days ?

The castle has a large moat and tall castle walls so you won’t see a lot close up. Good views from afar though

We bought the 72 hours Copenhagen Pass - great value- and both the train fare and the kronborg Slot was included in the Pass price. If you buy the Pass I would also go on the Kronborg ferry. We didn’t know it was included in the Pass but looked very popular
