Great slot but not for the claustrophobic or for big people. The slot is as pretty in pics, though I was there on an overcast day and the colors really didn't shine. The first part was nice but the … Full review by pickupthepace

Planning to go there first week of April. Anyone has experience with the water level that time of the year. Shin high water is ok but chest high water seems a bit too daunting. Thanks.

Hi Jeanique9, you should try Peek-A-Boo Gulch is incredible. Its a 2 1/2 mile hike into the area to access 4 slot canyons (dry gulch, peek-a-boo, spooky and brimstone gulch) the entry into peek-a-boo is a little difficult because you have to climb up. It will be easy for children 7+ years old. I do not recommend taking a dog because the slot is narrow and some climbing (scrabbling) is required. Plan to spend 5-6 hours to explore the 4 slots and hike in and out. the colors in those 4 canyons are amazing
