Vancouver's story begins here. The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) connects Vancouverites to each other and connects the city to the world. An enthusiastic civic advocate, MOV is dedicated to encouraging a deeper understanding of Vancouver through stories, objects and shared experiences. MOV is an independent, non-profit organization that seeks partners to support the evolution of the Museum’s visitor experience. We acknowledge the Museum of Vancouver is located on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, at the site of the ancestral Village of Sen̓áḵw – neighboring the current Sḵwx̱wú7mesh reserve of the same name.

This was a nice museum with interesting displays. Their exhibit with the Musqueam people was really well done. Its a good way to start a visit to Vancouver.Full review by carolynb615

Hi everybody! I'd appreciate getting opinions from someone who has gone to Vancouver Museum and to the Vancouver Science Museum. Which would you consider better to visit with a group of Jr. High School students from Mexico City? We wouldn't have time to visit both, so we'd have to choose one of these two. Which one would be more interesting for kids 12 to 15? Thank you!!

Telus World of Science (locals know it as Science World) is more hands on and interactive so would be fun for that age group. Vancouver Museum is really interesting from a history point of view and is very good too. I think Science World would be better though - and if it's in the budget take them upstairs for the IMAX show.
