It was such a nice walk. We had beautiful weather and was great. There is nowhere up the top to buy a drink so you might want to take one with you. Clean fresh air. Great time. Full review by 811jacquieh

The walk to the light house is quite nice- flat, easy and scenic. The lighthouse seems to only be open Sat/Sun or cruise ship days. We lucked out on Easter Sunday and had to admire from below. Full review by Kerryn72

Is there wheelchair access to the lighthouse

Altough there is a "huge ramp" to the LightHouse I am not sure if that is suitable for all kinds of wheelchair. Maybe if the person has assistance.

A:
There is a cafe but just a simple one. The lighthouse is opened for visitors only on Sundays. Also there are some good cafe nearby even at the Nobby beach next to lighthouse.

Nobby's is on the southern headland at the mouth of the Hunter River. it is part of Newcastle East. it a short drive along Shortland Esplanade from Newcastle beach. Plenty of parking.
