Did you stay in Shule? Where and if so, how were the accommodations? How far, by taxi, is Shule from old town Lijiang? And did you visit Baisha village to see the frescoes? If so, how far is that from Shule? Thanx for your help.

Did not visit the frescoes or old town Lijiang so cannot help with that question. We did enjoy Shuhe. It had a small feel, clean, and easy to walk around. Accommodation is really up to you. We stayed at a small local place for about 200 RMB per night, can't remember name. Main reason was feedback from Elong or Ctrip and the hotel staff spoke English. We did go up to the Glacier about 30 - 45 minute to park. Great trip.
