You need to bring your own tools. We took a small lady size pick axe (harbor freight), 5 gal buckets and gloves. Serious hunters come with shovels and pry bars. You can find garnets in the rocks just lying around. We took the rocks home and pried the garnets out there with screw driver, chisel and hammer.
