Journalism, who was toward the middle of the pack for most of Saturday’s Preakness Stakes, pulled ahead in the final leg to win the race. Right before the race, Journalism was listed as the 6-5 favorite on NBC after finishing second behind Sovereignty — who was not running in the Preakness — in the Kentucky Derby.

The third and final jewel of the Triple Crown will be awarded when the 2025 Belmont Stakes goes off on Saturday, June 7 at Saratoga Race Course. Belmont Park, the traditional home of the race, is still undergoing renovations, so the 157th running of the Belmont will take place upstate.
