A 5.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on Wednesday (July 16), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Atka at a depth of 69 kilometers (about 43 miles). The USGS said it received one report of person having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.
