Arsenal hold a long-term interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and tried to sign him last summer. They failed with a bid for Watkins in January, while Sporting star Viktor Gyokeres is believed to be another option on Arsenal’s radar.

The obvious priority for Arsenal will be to sign at least one world class striker. Gabriel Jesus is sidelined with a serious injury that could keep him out until midway through next season, and while the returning Kai Havertz remains one of Arteta’s favoured players, there is a strong desire to add an out-and-out proven goalscorer to the ranks.

It won't be too long until Mikel Arteta's Arsenal team are back at the Sobha Realty Training Centre as they plan for the 2025/26 campaign. As we are now in June, the players will have around a month left in terms of their time off before they return to the training base in early July.
