Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 850,000 vehicles across the United States due to a defect in the low-pressure fuel pump
A recall is underway for over 850,000 Ford and Lincoln vehicles that could have an issue with their low-pressure fuel pump that could cause engine stalls.
The automaker says its quality is improving, and the company expects its number of recalled vehicles to drop over time.

The latest recall is certainly not the first announced by Ford recently. The brand has issued 88 safety recalls in the first half of 2025—more than any other automaker in a full calendar year. Likewise, over the past 10 years, Ford has issued far more recalls than other auto brands, logging 458 recalls between 2015 and 2024.
Vehicle recalls in the U.S. more than doubled in Q2 2025, hitting the highest quarterly total in over a year. Ford led all automakers with over 3.3
