Microsoft has confirmed that it will lay-off as many as 9,000 workers, in the tech giant's latest wave of job cuts this year. The company said several divisions would be affected without specifying which ones but reports suggest that its Xbox video gaming unit will be hit.

Microsoft is cutting 9,000 more jobs across the company, following earlier layoffs, amid major investments in AI and cloud infrastructure.

Microsoft is reportedly slashing four per cent of its global workforce. On Wednesday, July 2, the tech giant said that it was laying off around 9,000 of its employees from across different teams. These layoffs are being carried out across nations,
