Robert Pattinson is most likely not going to have a role in the DCU, but never say never. DC Studios boss James Gunn said that it was "very unlikely" (via Variety) and "certainly not the plan" (via Collider) that Robert Pattinson would play Batman in upcoming The Brave and the Bold.

James Gunn has given his most definitive comment yet regarding whether or not Robert Pattinson will be the DCU's Batman. Pattinson plays Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' The Batman. He'll soon reprise the role for a sequel that is arriving in 2027.

The Batman 2 is finally taking shape, with filming set to start at the end of the year, and some of the main cast already praising the story. The latest one to do so was the film's star Robert Pattinson, who revealed he knows what the sequel will be about, and he's "very excited" for it.

Speculation and/or manifestation that The Batman star Robert Pattinson would also play Batman in the wider DC Universe only increased after The Batman director Matt Reeves gave a noncommittal answer about the possibility in a January interview at the Golden Globes.
