When you hear the name Paige Bueckers, most people think of the basketball star who led the UConn Huskies to the national title in April and made her WNBA debut on Friday in the Dallas Wings’ 84-99 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.

The No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft made her debut Friday night for the Dallas Wings in the team's 99-84 loss to the Minnesota Lynx. Bueckers finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes. She led Wings' starters in minutes and had a few moments where she flashed the talent that got her drafted first overall.

Napheesa Collier scored 34 points, spoiling the WNBA debut of fellow UConn alum Paige Bueckers and leading the Minnesota Lynx to a 99-84 victory over the Dallas Wings in the season opener for both teams.
