The Professional Women’s Hockey League announced Wednesday morning that it will add its second expansion team for the 2025-26 season in Seattle. The team joins Vancouver as the seventh and eighth organizations, respectively, to become members of the PWHL.

The PWHL will expand to eight teams next season by adding Seattle as its second new franchise alongside Vancouver, and the Associated Press has learned that plans are already in the works to add two more in a year’s time.
