Six Flags Locations Announce New Guidelines for Minors originally appeared on Parade. Six Flags Great America is tightening its rules for minors following a recent incident, re-introducing a chaperone policy to ensure the safety of its visitors.

Shots were fired in the parking lot of Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, north of Chicago Monday night, but police say there are no known victims. Gurnee police were called to the theme park at 8:20 p.m. Officers found evidence at the scene confirming that shots had been fired, police said.

A Six Flags executive said the company likely will not renew the lease on California's Great America in Santa Clara.
