CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said a man was seriously injured being involved in a shooting out with deputies Monday night. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was chasing a man and woman in stolen car when they approached the Clayton County line.

A man and woman were being pursued by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office as they approached the county line on Monday evening.

The Clayton County Police Department say they are on the scene of a shooting investigation, officials tell Channel 2 Action News.

Around 9:31 p.m., the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 100 block of Bright Leaf Drive in reference to a suicidal person. A second call was also received from the same caller stating that the male subject was armed and threatening to harm himself and shoot responding deputies.

Deputies were alerted to a man entering a residence with a firearm. Those inside that residence safely escaped safely to a neighbor's home. When deputies arrived, the man appeared on the front porch.
