BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - It’s time to enjoy a nice treat made by nature. December 17 is Maple Syrup Day. Maine is well known for its maple syrup with plenty of sugar houses across the state.

Maine maple producers are still a couple months away from tapping their trees for sap but today is a day to celebrate them. States across the country are marking National Maple Syrup Day on Tuesday.
