The biome concept ... climates on different continents than they are in different climates on the same continent (Figure 3). Regions of similar climate and dominant plant types are called biomes.
It’s not just that he’s far from home, it’s that we’re in a totally different biome. Biomes are areas of the planet with a similar climate and landscape, where similar animals and plants live.
