CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WPRI) — A Rhode Island charter school now has the largest fleet of electric school buses in the state. Blackstone Valley Prep revealed its 24 all-electric buses made by Highland Electric Fleets on Tuesday.

As states and local governments grapple with a federal grant freeze, Springfield, Massachusetts, is still hoping to put recently-awarded grant money to work — paving the way for a new fleet of electric buses.
