DC Studios’ new Superman movie feels like a wild comic book that’s been brought to life. For years, Warner Bros. Discovery has been playing a desperate game of catchup in hopes of recreating the success that Marvel achieved with its live action comics adaptations.

But, there is also another Batman movie in the works – one that will be part of the DCU rather than an Elseworlds project like Reeves'. That movie is titled The Brave and the Bold, and it was unveiled as part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters announcement. Since then, though, news on the project has been scarce.

With Superman set to release on Friday (11.07.25), director James Gunn has revealed his next DC Universe project will feature David Corenswet's Man of Steel - but the actor knows "literally nothing" about it.
