The Swiss firm will build at least two, and possibly four, mammoth 4,800-ton turbines, each able to generate an unprecedented 1,100,000 kw. to 1,300,000 kw. of power.

In 2017, the Swiss people voted in favor of no more new nuclear power plants being built. However, there are efforts underway in Switzerland to approve and build new nuclear power plants.

In this system, too, the researchers came to the same conclusions: reserve power plants fuelled by gas or liquid fuels are also in this case the most efficient solution for dealing with rare shocks.
