There are around 2 million pieces that make up the Alexander the Great mosaic, but where did they come from?
According to the Museum of the Bible, the impressive mosaic (a type of art form where small pieces-often colored stone and glass-come together to form a scene) was created by a man named Brutius.
They found that the "tesserae were composed of ten types of colors masterfully combined to enhance artistic effects characterizing the Alexander Mosaic ... face in ancient art," they noted.
