Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval will face Cory Bowman, the half brother of Vice President JD Vance, this fall after the pair were the top two vote-getters in Tuesday’s primary.

The mayoral contest in Democrat-run Cincinnati has come down to two candidates for November following Tuesday’s primary voting. On November 4, incumbent Aftab Pureval will oppose Cory Bowman, who is the half-brother of Vice President JD Vance.

Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval and Republican challenger Cory Bowman will advance past the May 6 primary to the fall election. Unofficial results with all precincts in showed Pureval with 82.5% of the vote. Republican Bowman was in second with 13% of the vote.
