The U.N. says it is trying to get the desperately needed aid that has entered Gaza this week into the hands of Palestinians.

Israel agreed on Sunday to allow a "basic amount of food" to enter Gaza, where global experts have warned of a looming famine.

One aid group said the “ridiculously inadequate amount of aid” Israel was allowing into Gaza was simply “a smokescreen to pretend the siege is over.”
