Cornett is a college student who was the subject of an unsubstantiated internet rumor previously amplified by McAfee and others.

McAfee shared a false rumor about an 18-year-old Ole Miss student on his show. She has said she plans to sue both him and ESPN.

"I didn’t want to add any more negativity as it was taking place. … We will try to figure that out and make some sort of silver lining in a very terrible situation," McAfee said Wednesday.
