The Vikings and quarterback Sam Howell have made things official. Minnesota announced on Monday that Howell has passed his physical with the organization, completing the trade that sent him to the NFC North club from Seattle.

After taking Jalen Milroe during the third round of the NFL Draft on Friday, the quarterback room in Seattle was starting to get a little crowded, so the Seahawks fixed that problem on Saturday by dealing away Sam Howell to the Minnesota Vikings,

Most recently, Howell served as the backup quarterback for the Seahawks, which means he is familiar with the role he will likely be asked to fill with the Vikings. He got into just two games as Geno Smith’s backup last season and only threw 14 passes, completing five.
