Family members have identified more than a dozen people who are presumed missing after severe flooding in the Texas Hill Country on Friday.

A memorial service was held in Kerr County, Texas on Friday to honor the victims and those still missing from flooding that recently struck the region.

The President and his allies have so far bristled at any suggestion that much could have been done to prevent the tragic loss of life in Texas. Trump described the flooding as a "once in every 200-year deal", even if he did suggest that "alarms" could have helped.

Texas Rangers have identified Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal, 8, as a victim of Camp Mystic after 27 girls went missing after the Guadalupe River flooded the Christian retreat.

The Hardins are not the only South Florida family who lost loved ones in the central Texas floods. The twin 8-year-old granddaughters of Miami childhood education advocate David Lawrence Jr. died in the floods. Hannah and Rebecca were among the girls staying at Camp Mystic.
