Federal courts have so far uniformly blocked President Donald Trump’s order seeking to end birthright citizenship for children born in the United States to someone in the country illegally

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on Thursday on President Donald Trump's bid to broadly enforce his executive order ending birthright citizenship, a principle that has been recognized in the United States for more than 150 years.

Trump posted shortly before the Supreme Court heard arguments on his birthright order that the US was the "only Country in the World" with birthright citizenship.
