The good news for the Red Sox is that they do believe right-handers Brayan Bello and Lucas Giolito will be ready based on their schedules early in spring training.

Boston Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford still is dealing with discomfort in the patellar tendon in his right knee, a situation that has plagued him since early last season.
Kutter Crawford likely will begin the season on the injured list as he continues to deal with patellar tendon pain in his right knee. “With Kutter, that’s the one,” manager Alex Cora said before the Sox beat the Rays, 6-4. “It looks like it’s going to be long. I don’t know.”
