After months of living in limbo, some seniors living at a bankrupt care facility on Long Island have been told they need to move within weeks.

The state says the current owner of the Port Washington retirement community sent a letter to affected residents outlining a closure plan without its approval, and that the plan is still under review.

Several Utahns with disabilities have died while in the care of group homes in recent years, with advocates and family members saying many of those deaths were preventable.
