A lake-effect snow band off Lake Erie is expected start moving south from northern Erie County toward the Southtowns about 8 p.m., the National Weather Service reported.
The forecast shows the lake snow will begin to become better organized by late Monday as the cold air deepens and temperatures fall to below freezing at the surface.
"A band of lake effect snow will produce slippery travel conditions and rapidly changing conditions," according to a hazardous weather warning issued by the National Weather Service.
