JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Crews worked to contain a fire at the Bainbridge Apartment complex on Simmonsville Avenue Monday morning. Fire crews also ventilated some of the smoke through the roof of the apartment building. The Red Cross was on standby at the apartment complex.

Not all 36 units were damaged, but fire crews said they had to cut the power to the building where the fire broke out, as well as an adjacent building.
