The Chicago Cubs have brought infielder Nicky Lopez back on a major-league deal after he had spent spring training with the organization.

The Cubs made a bevy of roster moves Wednesday, headlined by the signing of veteran utility infielder Nicky Lopez. Lopez was in Cubs camp this spring after agreeing to a Minor League deal with the club in February.

The Chicago Cubs added infielder Nicky Lopez and reliever Drew Pomeranz as part of a flurry of moves before Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lopez signed a one-year contract and Pomeranz was placed on the roster two days after he was acquired in a trade with Seattle.
