Walmart ( WMT, Financials) is recalling approximately 850,000 Ozark Trail 64-ounce stainless steel bottles due to a dangerous lid malfunction that has caused serious injuries, including permanent vision loss in two individuals, according to a July 10 alert from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Walmart on Thursday recalled Ozark Trail 64 oz Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles. The water bottle's lid could "forcefully eject" when a person tries to open the bottle after carbonated beverages, perishable beverages or food were stored inside over time, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Walmart is recalling a water bottle after two customers reported vision loss, after being struck in the eye. According to the United States Consumer Safety Commission, the recall involves Ozark Trail 64 oz Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles sold with model number 83-662 on the product packaging.
