In the Gobi desert lives one of the rarest animals on Earth. Known in Mongolian as the Mazaalai, the Gobi bear (Ursus arctos gobiensis) is the rarest of the planet’s eight bear species.
“In the Gobi, it is difficult to be a herder. No rain, with too many mines. For the last three years, we haven’t had any rainfall and we are just moving with our animals,” Nergui said.
