The Boston Red Sox already have been tied to the biggest free agent in next year's class. The Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were discussing a possible contract extension but set a deadline for the start of Spring Training.

In his first at-bat on Sunday, Barger took a Garrett Crochet pitch off the hand and was forced to exit the game. It was ruled a foul ball off the knob of the bat, but it evidently caught a piece of Barger's hand, making him unable to finish the at-bat. The Blue Jays have since announced Barger has a hand contusion, which caused his exit.

The Blue Jays lost one of their outfielder to a scary injury suffered as a result of a collision with the outfield wall in a spring training game Tuesday.
