Residents of the 200 block of West Orange Street should boil their water before using it as the city repairs a water main break near their homes.

The City of Washington is currently under a 24-hour boil water advisory following what city and EMS officials are calling an "extensive water leak".

The City of Washington has an extensive water leak on Highway 44 inside the city limits. Wilkes County EMA says there is a BOIL WATER ADVISORY for a minimum of 24 hours. City crews are working to turn the water off and repair the leak.

A boil water advisory has been issued for Bird City’s public water supply system in Cheyenne County. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment issued the advisory after a fire hydrant malfunction resulted in a loss of pressure in the distribution system.
