ELMHURST, Ill. (WLS) -- A Metra Union Pacific-West train hit a vehicle near Elmhurst Friday morning, Metra said.

Denver police officials said the officer, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and the driver stayed on scene. The crash was not intentional.
