A person has died after a freight train hit a car at a North Yorkshire level crossing. The incident happened on Friday morning (July 11) at Rounton Gates level crossing in West Rounton, Northallerton.

The 24-year-old was found with stab wounds in Seville Street, near Hyde Park, on Wednesday night and died at the scene.
