A hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a Connecticut state trooper last year has pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge and agreed to serve an 18-year prison sentence.

Alex Oyola-Sanchez pleaded guilty in the hit-and-run crash that killed Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier in May on Interstate 84.

The man who is accused of hitting and killing Connecticut State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier on Interstate 84 in Southington in May, then leaving the scene, has accepted a plea deal and will spend 18 years in prison.
