Before Gage Wood, Texas pitcher Jim Ehrler first made history in Omaha
Thursday marks the 75-year anniversary of Ehrler's no-hitter, which was a first for the College World Series. On June 19, 1950, Ehrler shutdown the Tufts offense in a 7-0 win. That victory kept hope alive for UT, which had dropped its opener at the first-ever College World Series held in Omaha.
