Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano received similar praise and criticism in ESPN's annual offseason poll once again in 2025. Each offseason, ESPN polls NFL coaches and front office executives and players are ranked position-by-position. The top-10 off-ball linebacker poll did not include Milano this time.
ESPN gave the Buffalo Bills a B-plus for their 2025 offseason but questioned the team’s wide receiver strategy, especially the signing of Josh Palmer.
The Buffalo Bills offensive line, specifically the interior area, did not receive any praise in an ESPN poll. ESPN conducted a survey via coaches and executives around the NFL going position-by-position and ranking the best players at each spot. When it came to the interior of the O-line, the Bills did not earn any praise.
The Bills didn’t make headlines, but ESPN still gave them a surprising grade for an offseason built on smart extensions and calculated risks.
The Buffalo Bills have had some very memorable and excellent teams lately in the first quarter of the 21st century, but one stands out from the rest.
One of the biggest question marks for the second year in a row is at safety. Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer had that area on lockdown from 2017 through 2023, but both were gone last season so the Bills re-signed veteran Taylor Rapp and chose Cole Bishop in the second round of the 2024 draft.
Miller signed with the Bills in 2022, starting strong but suffering a year-ending torn ACL in November. He returned early in the 2023 season but struggled to regain his speed and athleticism, registering no sacks and just two total tackles in 12 games.
