The EPA granted an emergency waiver permitting the nationwide sale of a fuel blend with higher amounts of ethanol through the summer months.

Consumers across the U.S. still will be able to buy higher-ethanol blend E15 gasoline this summer, the Environmental Protection Agency announced Monday, saving them a little money at the pump but frustrating environmentalists who believe the move potentially harms the air and water.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Monday issued an emergency fuel waiver allowing the sale of E15 gasoline nationwide this summer . E15, or gasoline blended with 15% ethanol, can already be sold year-round in some states. The EPA also issued the waiver on E15 sales last summer .
