It was supposed to be different for the New York Knicks after bringing in talent like Karl-Anthony Towns. However, it looks like the team is still not a major threat.

New York drops to 0-5 against the East's top two teams, the Celtics and Cavaliers, as they aim for a deep playoff run.

After a 118-105 loss to Boston on Sunday, New York admitted it has a long way to go to catch its rivals after falling to 0-5 against them this season.

Karl-Anthony Towns landed awkwardly after a layup attempt in the 4th quarter with Boston up by 12. He limped over to the bench and then sprawled out in pain as trainers looked at him. He went back i nto the locker room shortly after to be further examined.

The Knicks connected on just 43.5 percent of its shots and committed 11 turnovers in Sunday's loss to the Celtics. “The versatility, I think, is terrific,” Thibodeau said.

The New York Knicks spent the offseason boosting its roster to compete with the defending champion Boston Celtics. But through three matchups this season, it is abundantly clear the Celtics still own the Knicks.
