Crystal Palace will appeal UEFA's decision to demote them to the Conference League due to ownership rules infringements, chairman Steve Parish has said.

UEFA has demoted Crystal Palace to the third-tier Conference League because of the English cup winner’s ownership ties to French club Lyon through American businessman John Textor.

Crystal Palace fans have planned a protest against UEFA ’s ruling to demote the Eagles to the Europa Conference League. The decision was taken by the governing body on Friday to relegate the FA Cup winners to Europe’s tertiary competition after Lyon’s relegation from Ligue 1 for financial difficulties was reversed.
