However, the snake concept was lost after a while, the only such logo containing a snake being long-gone, but personally I still think of the infinity sign as the infinity snake.

Because of rainbow representing neurodiversity, the autistic pride symbol is often a rainbow infinity sign to present autism simultaneously with the celebration of neurodiversity. However, as op states, a gold infinity sign can be used as well.

Oct 27, 2021 · I'm still pretty new to the puzzle piece and infinity symbol stuff. In order to change the meaning of a symbol in a community/society, lots of people need to get like minded. We can decide that the puzzle piece would be our thing with a more positive meaning than ableism. But that won't imply that tons of others around us think the same.

The rainbow infinity is widely associated with autism, but it's also used for other neurodivergence, so it's not an autism symbol. I like it but it's not an autism symbol anymore. The golden infinity I'm assuming is meant to be specific to autism, but I don't think anything about the gold colour really signifies autism in itself.
