Oct 31, 2004 · I need info. on how or if i can accurately build a 1966 gto as a factory built ram air gto with the "xs" package. The motor is stamped "xs", with the 744 cam and all associated parts. The question is if i drop this motor into a 1966 that has a 4-spd m21, (need 4.33:1 rear) can I state a bone-stock ram-air car yet not-original car?

Apr 24, 2010 · Any info on this option? I was lucky enough to have ordered a new 1966 Barrier Blue tri-powered 389 with close ratio 4 speed and 3:90 saf t trak rear. Did this option exist when I ordered this car in April 1966 or did I just miss it. Car also had the handling package with quick steering,metallic brakes with finned front drum's and special shock's.

I decided to go with this vendor as they advertise far superior castings compared to Ames / Performance years/ Parts Place/ Classic ind and Year One. Theirs all have terrible port detail and weigh 30% more!

They are often referenced by their last part number digits, ie "066," "067," "068," etc. They go from mild to radical with the "068" often suggested as a good solid performance street cam in a 389/400 that doesn't get into street/strip territory.
