Demons (鬼 おに Oni?) are an ancient race of monstrous and malevolent beings and the central antagonists of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. A group of demons attacking a Demon Slayer. Demons are a carnivorous, vampire-like species whose primary diet is humans.

The most well-known demons featured in Demon Slayer are Nezuko Kamado, Muzan Kibutsuji, Tamayo, and the members of the Twelve Kizuki. Other notable demons include Yushiro, the Swamp Demon, Yahaba, Susamaru, Kyogai, and the members of the Spider Family.

The Twelve Kizuki (十 じゅう 二 に 鬼 き 月 づき Jūnikizuki?, lit. Twelve Demon Moons) is an organization of the twelve most powerful demons in existence who are under the direct command of the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. They also serve as the main antagonistic faction of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

It follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his family is slaughtered and the sole survivor, his younger sister Nezuko, is turned into a demon, in the hopes of turning her human again and defeating the demon king Muzan Kibutsuji.
