A few times; the station at our marina, and the other one or two I've used have a spot to dump your porta-potty. You turn on the pump, dump into the trough, and rinse with the water hose. It's a little gross; wear gloves and don't bend over too close .

Feb 20, 2010 · Easiest would be to install a porta potti with pumpout capability like the Thetford 735. If you can find a spot for a holding tank, then a manual head can be installed. A lot more work, but probably worth it. No easiest and cheapest would be installing a home made composting head.

Feb 15, 2010 · A porta potti is good for any trip anywhere there is a toilet, where as; the pump out variety requires a pump out station. Not all marinas have them so think through that operation carefully if you like to cruise.

Apr 23, 2013 · You don't need any through hulls with a holding tank. You can pull water from a sink drain through hull. If you only use a pump-out then you just need the deck through hull for the pump-out, no underwater through-hulls.
