The pendant is hallmarked on the back with the thistle representing Scottish silver, the castle for the Edinburgh assay office and the date letter s for 1973, its also stamped 925 on the bale for sterling silver and has the makers stamp, JH for John Hart of Iona, Scotland.

A vintage Scottish silver and (possibly) Iona marble pendant by John Hart, hallmarked Edinburgh, 1977. The pendant’s large central dark green stone has been set within two hand pierced, overlapping triangles. The reverse has been hallmarked with the maker’s mark ‘JH’, sterling silver [925], Edinburgh and 1977.

This is a lovely, and I imagine a quite rare, John Hart of Iona Pendant necklace. It is from my own private collection and I have not seen this design before. The pendant is of silver & amethyst and...from 19719389
